OUR STORY
December 2019
It all started with a Facebook post of a girl who wanted to form a band. She wanted to be the lead signer and was looking for a drummer, a keyboardist and a bass player. Damien offered to do the drums, Nicholas offered to play the keyboard and someone else offered to do the bass.
January 2020
The 4 musicians started doing a few rehearsals in Etterbeek (Belgium). In the following weeks however, the girl didn't always show up and the bass player decided to leave the group. Due to the lead signer's regular absence, Nicholas offered to also do some of the signing and guitar and Damien remained on the drums.
March 2020
Shortly after, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, nationwide lockdowns started being implemented. This meant the musicians couldn't do any more rehearsals. The 3 remaining musicians kept in touch through a few video calls. This would all change when, suddenly, the girl who initially wanted to start a band stopped responding to all messages. Why this happened is a mystery.
April 2020
Only two members were left: Damien and Nicholas. But this didn't stop them from wanting to make music, as they had already some songs they wanted to continue working on.
September 2020
Nicholas got his friends Antoine (a bass player) and Anirudh (a pianist, guitarist and singer) to join the band, and the rehearsals started becoming more regular. They had found a nice place in Schaerbeek (Belgium) to rehearse, and started working on new songs.
October 2020
The name "Diamantic" was created by mixing the first three letters of each of the band members' names. Coincidentally, the rehearsals took place near "place Diamant" in Brussels.
September 2021
Diamantic started doing their first concerts, which took place in Wallonia (southern Belgium).
January 2022
Diamantic released their first album, called "Disruptive", consisting out of 10 original songs. The album has been uploaded to most major streaming services.
Now
The 4 musicians keep doing concerts and look for ways to spread their passion for music.
